Key Lime, Sutil Lime

Citrus Aurantifolia also known as Key or Sutil Limes are a staple in Peru and are known for their distinct flavor. It is rich in vitamin C, has high acidity, and a juicy pulp.

These limes are a must for Peruvian cuisine, especially for dishes like ceviche.

They grow in the north coast of Peru specifically in the valleys of Piura in the area of Tambogrande. The harvest season generally spans from October through April, but due to Peru’s microclimates, they are generally available year round.

Tahiti Lime

Citrus Latifolia, is a seedless persian lime with a thick skin and large size. They are also grown in the North of Peru and have very similar nutritional value with sutil limes, except these have slighter less concentration of Vitamin C.

These limes has notes of sweet flavor and are produced year round.
